Silver Dollar Fairgrounds (2357 Fair St, Chico, CA 95928) is one of the biggest event draws in the North Valley, hosting the Silver Dollar Fair each year in late May through early June — plus concerts, swap meets, and private events year-round. The fairgrounds has a large main surface lot accessed off Fair Street, which is the most practical staging area for oversized vehicles. Party buses can drop off at the main entrance on Fair Street, then stage in the outer lot while your group enjoys the event.

The fairgrounds' general-public parking capacity is approximately 3,200 spaces, giving your bus a substantial on-site place to stay with the event instead of scattering your passengers into separate cars; the full figure appears in the official Silver Dollar Fairgrounds rental conditions. Because bus access assignments can vary by event, it is a good idea to confirm current drop-off and staging details with the fairgrounds directly at (530) 895-4666 before your visit.

The Redwood Amphitheater is an outdoor performance space on the California State University, Chico campus (Chico, CA 95929), tucked into the tree-lined heart of campus near the main quad. Because the interior of the CSU Chico campus is largely pedestrian, party buses cannot drive through to the amphitheater directly. The most practical drop-off points are along Normal Avenue or West First Avenue at the campus perimeter, putting your group a short walk from the amphitheater.

After drop-off, buses stage in one of the outer campus lots — Lot 1 off West First Avenue or Lot 2 off Normal Avenue are the closest options. Evening events may require a parking permit; check current lot rules and access details with CSU Chico Transportation Services before your visit.

Nettleton Stadium is the home of the CSU Chico Wildcats on the west side of the California State University, Chico campus, near West First Street (Chico, CA 95929). For games and track events, the most practical party bus drop-off is along West First Avenue at the stadium entrance on the campus perimeter. Buses then stage in Lot 1 off West First Avenue, which is the closest campus surface lot to the stadium.

Because CSU Chico Parking & Transportation Services manages lot access on an event-by-event basis, it is worth confirming current staging details by visiting the CSU Chico Transportation Services page or contacting CSU Chico Athletics at (530) 898-6470 before game day.

Laxson Auditorium (Chico, CA 95929) is a 1,250-seat performing arts venue at the center of the CSU Chico campus, hosting concerts, touring acts, dance performances, and lectures throughout the year. Since the pedestrian interior of campus is not accessible to large vehicles, party bus drop-off for Laxson Auditorium events is most practical along Normal Avenue or West First Avenue at the campus perimeter — a short, easy walk to the auditorium entrance. Buses stage in Lot 1 off West First Avenue or Lot 2 off Normal Avenue while your group is inside.

Evening performances may require a campus parking permit, so confirm current access details with CSU Chico Transportation Services or contact Laxson Auditorium directly at (530) 898-6333 before your event.

Chico Event Center (700 Orange St, Chico, CA 95928) is a multi-purpose arena on Orange Street hosting Chico Heat baseball games, concerts, trade shows, and community events throughout the year. The venue has an adjacent surface parking lot off Orange Street that is large enough to accommodate oversized vehicles. Party buses can drop off at the main entrance on Orange Street, then stage in the surface lot while your group is inside.

No dedicated published party bus zone is listed on the venue's site, so for large-group events it is worth calling the Chico Event Center directly at (530) 893-4711 to confirm current drop-off and staging arrangements before your visit.

Bidwell Park is one of the largest municipal parks in the United States, covering approximately 3,670 acres of open space stretching from lower Chico all the way into the Sierra Nevada foothills. The park has two main access areas, and which one your party bus uses depends on where your group is headed.

For the One Mile Recreation Area in the lower park — the most popular spot for picnics, swimming, and group gatherings — access is via Manzanita Avenue and Vallombrosa Avenue. The One Mile area has a large parking lot that can accommodate buses for drop-off and staging. For lower park visits, this is the practical pick-up and drop-off point.

The Five Mile and upper park areas are accessed via Upper Park Road, which is a narrow, winding road not suitable for large party buses — groups heading to the upper park should drop off at lower park staging areas and make their way in from there. Upper Park Road is paved through Parking Area E and turns to gravel beyond it; the gate past Area E opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes one hour after sunset, while the graveled section is closed to motor vehicles on Sundays, Mondays, and during rainy weather, as detailed in the City of Chico's Upper Bidwell Park access plan. Your bus should stay at lower-park staging on those closure days and for destinations beyond the paved section.

For group event permits and current access details, contact the City of Chico Parks Department at (530) 896-7800.

For most Chico trips, booking four to eight weeks out gives you a solid selection of available party buses at good prices. But Chico has a handful of dates where the whole market tightens fast — and waiting until the last minute on those will cost you more or leave you with nothing available at all.

Book three to six months out for Halloween weekend — Chico is famous for one of the biggest Halloween celebrations in Northern California, and party buses for that weekend disappear early every single year. The same goes for CSU Chico commencement in May, Silver Dollar Fair week in late May and early June, and prom season in April and May for Chico High, Pleasant Valley High, and other local schools. New Year's Eve and major concert weekends at Laxson Auditorium and Chico Event Center also fill up faster than people expect.

The earlier you lock in, the better your options — and the better your price. Call 530-267-0010 or use the online quote tool right now to check availability for your date!
